My work immersion experience

As a senior high school student, work immersion program is mandatory to the us as part of the k-12 curriculum. This is for preparation in the field we are going to. Being an aviation student, my work immersion is related to aviation. Last September 2018 we held our work immersion with my classmates. On the first 3 days of our 10 days’ work immersion program we only have the orientation about the aviation. The company who handled us is JM Aerofix Inc. who tells us a lot about in the field of aviation. On those 3 days of orientation I learned a lot from them especially about the aircraft and it increased my admiration in the field of aviation. Because of that it helps me to be more knowledgeable about my dream, which is to become a pilot. And then, on the 4th day all of us were excited, we transfer to the hangar of the company who handled us in NAIA. That for me, it is the start of our real work immersion because of the practical work we are going to do, that will test our ability and capability on that field. And we need to be responsible because we need to be there by 7 in the morning so we must wake up early. When we get there all of us were amazed because of the things we saw. In every 5 to 10 minutes there is a plane taking off, all our head is turning back just to see a plane taking off. But the purpose we get there is to learn on how to maintain the health of an aircraft, we are able to know what are the different parts of the aircraft, on how it works and everything about airplane. We only do basic practical on aircraft maintaining. The moment that I like the most is our proctor is inspiring us to believe to our self, for us to achieve our dreams, and I take note of that. And then, everyone gets excited because our proctor make a promise to us, that he will give us a chance to get inside the cockpit. It happened on the last day in the hangar. It’s my first time to get there so I’m so thankful and very happy, because of that it inspires to strive hard to achieve my dream. And then, the last part of our work immersion program is the interview for applying job. We prepare a resume like we are really applying a job, this is for the practice to have a job and to test our confidence in facing interviewer. I can say that my work immersion memorable because I learned a lot about my dream field. And it inspires to strive for my dream.
